Hey nextbiker, pay attention to the things below so you don’t incur any additional costs!
NOT ENDING THE RIDE AT OFFICIAL STATION
The bicycle must always be returned to the official nextbike station visible in the nextbike app. Otherwise, additional costs may apply because leaving the bicycle outside the station requires collecting the bicycle and returning it to the official station and may result in additional costs for you.
In the event that you want to temporarily park the bicycle outside the official station, select the “Pause ride” option in the app, which is used to temporarily park the bicycle outside the official station. Please note that the bicycle will remain rented and that it must be returned to the official station in order to properly complete the rental.IMPORTANT! Official active stations are always visible in the nextbike app. Always check before riding if the station you plan to return your bike to is active and available for parking. Sometimes we have to shut down stations due to various events or security reasons, which means that returning the bike to that (inactive) station may result in additional fees regardless of whether the station has nextbike signs or a nextbike terminal.
NOT LOCKING THE BIKE AT THE END OF A RIDE
For a successful and correct return of the bike, it is always necessary to lock the bike at an official nextbike station. The bike is locked by lowering the lever down on the bike lock located at the rear of the bike. Depending on the bike model, the lock is located either under the seat or under the bike’s rear light,
MULTIPLE PEOPLE RIDING ON ONE BIKE
Riding this way damages the bike and endangers the safety of the rider, other people, and all other users who will rent the bike after you. All users who want to rent multiple bikes with one account can contact our customer service, which will allow them to do so if the conditions are met (e.g. there are no existing debts on the account). You can contact customer service at the number at the foot of the website.
VANDALISM
Deliberately damaging a bicycle removes it from circulation to the detriment of all other users who need it for transportation. The bicycle then needs to be repaired and will be unavailable for new rides. If you notice any damage to the bicycle or destruction of the bicycle by another person, be sure to let us know via the nextbike mobile application, email or by calling the call center. Do not use a damaged bicycle for your own safety and to avoid possibility of additional damages to the bicycle.
